Welcome to KXSF-LP 102.5 FM

KXSF 102.5 FM is one of San Francisco’s newest radio stations, broadcasting diverse programming created by and for San Franciscans; educating students, giving them real radio experience both on the mic and behind the scenes; and provides a space for programming that otherwise wouldn’t be broadcast.

KXSF 102.5 FM broadcasts from Light Rail Studios in San Francisco, 12 hours a day (10am – 4pm / 10pm – 4am) and also produces a live stream at KXSF.fm 24 hours a day.

KXSF 102.5 FM is a project of San Francisco Community Radio, an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit.

San Francisco Community Radio is all-volunteer with no paid employees and relies on donations and underwriting to produce programming on KXSF 102.5 FM.

Mission, Vision, Values, Diversity Statement

Mission Statement: KXSF and San Francisco Community Radio’s mission is to amplify the diverse voices of our world by providing musically creative and socially aware San Francisco style radio.

Vision: KXSF 102.5 FM broadcasts non-commercial community service radio programming in stereo. This programming includes community-based cultural, fine arts and public affairs programming, social justice programming, multicultural programming and alternative music strongly supporting the local music and arts communities. KXSF 102.5 FM allows SFCR to serve the community by providing programming unavailable elsewhere on the radio dial. It also educates students and community members on how to produce radio.

Values: Through both its programming and its integration with the community, KXSF 102.5 FM serves the San Francisco community, broadcasting cultural programs targeted to communities with little to no access to the traditional radio dial. Although many listen to KXSF 102.5 FM for our new music programming, we value these other programs just as much. They are what makes us a true community station.

Diversity statement: KXSF/San Francisco Community Radio is an anti-racist organization that recognizes and celebrates the power of diversity and is committed to helping our community dismantle systemic racism. We proudly recruit programmers, DJs and volunteers who reflect the community we serve. Since we have multicultural listeners both locally and globally, we strive to mirror that in our on-aid programming. Women, non-binary, Black, Indigenous and other people of color (BIPOC), Lesbian/Gay/Bi/Trans/Queer people (LGBTQ), the disabled, students and seniors are encouraged to volunteer. KXSF explicitly forbids discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender, age, disability and marital status.
