KXSF Sports: Warriors vs Clippers

Written by on March 10, 2020

The Warriors face-off against one of the best teams in the NBA tonight, the LA Clippers. The Clippers are a remarkable 43-20 on the year; LA is lead by NBA reigning champ Kawhi Leonard who ranks 8th in the NBA in ppg (26.9) and is 5th in steals (1.8). Before falling to the Lakers on March 8th, the Clippers were RED HOT. The Clips won six straight including victories over Denver, Philadelphia, and Houston.

KEY TO THE GAME – Play strong defense. While it might sound obvious, the defense will be key tonight as the Clippers have 26 games this season where they have scored 120+ points (3rd best in the NBA).

THE ROOKS – The Warriors have been lead by some amazing young players this year – and they’ve been scoring in the bucketful. Rookies have scored 28.9 points per game for the Warriors, the highest single-season scoring average for the Warriors in the last 23 seasons. Seven different rookies have appeared for the Dubs, second-most in franchise history.

WELCOME MYCHAL – Mychal Mulder, the 25-year old guard who originally signed a 10-day contract, signed a multiyear contract with the Warriors earlier today. Mulder dropped 18 points in Saturday’s win over Philly – a career-high.

MARQUESE THE MAN – Chriss is averaging 14.5 points and 10.0 rebounds over his last four games, recording a double-double in three of the four outings.

CONNECTIONS – Clippers Forward Marcus Morris Sr. and Warriors guard Andrew Wiggins both played college basketball at the University of Kansas.
