It’s game three of this four-game series against the Cubs. The Giants are 3-1 on the current homestand (1-1 vs Angels; 2-0 vs Cubs).




  • RHP Camilo Doval was recalled from Triple-A
  • LHP Scott Kazmir was designated for assignment


  • Hit his team-leading 12th homer of the season on Thursday night (those 12 are t-10th most in the NL)
  • Batting .382 with RISP and has reached base in 19 of his last 20 games against the Cubs
  • Crawford has appeared in 1,324 games as a shortstop for the Giants, which currently ranks second-most in Giants history. He is two games from passing Travis Jackson for the most in Giants history.


  • From sleeping on the bench to hitting dingers, this Giants team is one of the best.
  • The Giants’ pinch hitters have a Major League-leading seven home runs and driven in an MLB-best 21 RBIs over 55 games. (The San Francisco record is 14, set back in 2001)
